"It was interesting to see and learn about the development
and progress of Sonora. I have a new respect for what they are doing. This was a helpful counterbalance and stereotyped U.S.
views of all Mexicans desperate to get to the US . I especially enjoyed meeting the local people through conversation with
the students and visiting the school. I also enjoyed seeing the historical, colonial areas. There was a nice balance of perspectives
and experiences." "Greg is an enigma! His relaxed nature is very enjoyable to be around.
Quick witted and a terrific sense of humor. He's tireless in his willingness to help. Most importantly, he's
very open and he welcomes the chance to help someone understand small nuances or complicated intricacies of Mexican and
Native cultures. "This was a wonderful look at non-tourist Mexico and how people live.
A great opportunity to become acquainted with much of the flora and fauna of Sonora." "Greg
is a walking encyclopedia of historical events, unbelievable tales and urban legends. He seems to know southern Arizona
and Sonora like he's lived on the border his whole life and has read every printed word on every subject of the regions.
Oh, he has?... we'll then, if he could only play guitar." "Stephanie is a real “Renaissance
woman” with extraordinary knowledge and experience. We appreciated her willingness to show us places that are off the
beaten path and to share her knowledge of cultures and biology/botany. She’s very approachable – a real gem. Her
work in Sonora is commendable and inspiring." "Stephanie, Greg and Steve’s interaction
and sharing proves how a compatible team can provide an outstanding program." "Is there a more multi-talented bus driver?" "I liked the variety-also the opportunity to meet the people and see
first hand the way they live – not just the tourist areas." "I
feel that the leaders are good will ambassadors for the USA with the Mexicans. You really made us as a group feel a part of
that too." "The trip far exceeded my expectations.
It was awesome. The team of leaders had great knowledge of Sonora and this is vital to the success of this program."
