South of the Border Tours

Established as Arizona Coach Tours in 1984 by Donald and Dorothy Bernier as a family operated tour and charter company.

Their son, Stephen has maintained their tradition of of providing well paced, fun and informative tours. To clearly identify the specific areas we specialize in touring, Stephen and his wife Debby created South of the Border Tours in 2006.

South of the Border Tours has established relationships with many museums and organizations throughout the southwest such as; The University of Arizona Exploritas Program, The Heard Museum Guild and Arizona Historical Society. Each continue to partner with us in sponsoring educational tours to Mexico and the U.S. Southwest.

Aside from the tours sponsored by other orgainzations, South of the Border Tours also has a base clientle of former travelers who routinly travel to the interesting destinations we offer.

We operate Van Hool T-940 Motorcoaches. These state-of-the-art Belgian Motorcoaches are fully loaded with all amenities. Van Hool incorporates a state of the art suspension, braking system and electronic traction control to make the safest Motorcoaches on the road.
